Here are a few tips for those charities applying for funds:
Street collections, or Flag Days, are a very successful way of raising money for your Friends Group.
People can leave money or property to charity in their will. These are known as bequests or legacies.
‘Payroll Giving’ is a scheme that allows employees to make donations to any UK charity direct from their gross salary, and to receive immediate tax relief of up to £4 for each £10 donated.
The 21st Century Donor is a report on donors and was inspired by the success of the 21st Century Volunteer, which was published in 2005 by nfpSynergy.
