Information and safety requirement for anyone selling second hand goods

‘We have a large stock of donated electrical equipment – can we sell this?’

When selling second-hand goods, toys, furniture or electrical items, they have to meet certain standards. Unless you have a qualified electrician in your organisation, it is impossible to verify whether an electrical item is safe to use if it has not been purchased directly from the manufacturer, and even then you have to check that it has passed the necessary british/european standards before selling them on.
