Stroke Navigation

Based in the London borough of Enfield, this project is helping people who have had a stroke by finding them volunteering placements.

We offer people who have had a stroke the opportunity to volunteer as a means of getting back to normal life.

If you have recently had a stroke then you will probably be dealing with a range of challenges - learning new skills, relearning old ones, understanding limitations you might have and finding the confidence to get back to as normal a life as you can.

This project finds ways for you to give a bit of your time with a local charity as a means to getting to grips with some of the challenges you face.

Volunteering can help develop new skills, give you confidence, give you a chance to meet new people and find a new interest. It offers a fresh and friendly environment for you to work out your next steps for recovery.

We offer one-to-one support in finding you the right opportunity with one of over 50 charities in the Enfield area. We support you throughout the experience and make sure you get what you need.

The pilot project is  based in Enfield as part of the Enfield Stroke Pathway being led by Enfield NHS and local council.
